  1. Hi,
Just letting you know there’s a date error in the write up for Melbourne. The details in the write up for Melbourne say Fri 10th Sat 11th Sun 12th of November at Refine your Canine which is incorrect( think these are the Sydney dates)it should say 17th 18th and 19th. When you purchase the tickets the dates are correct there, but thought you should be aware as it might cause some confusion with people reading these dates first.. that’s all!
I’ve booked my tix for Melbs and can’t wait!!!
    Thanks so much!

  2. Hello there, just wondering if we will be able to learn how to use the ecollar during working dog spots?

    • We hope so! We are still figuring out logistics on that.

  3. Hi Tom and team,

I was wondering if the working dog spot let us bring a second person along or not.

Also to follow up on Lee’s question, if the ecollar logistics pan out, will Tom be bringing his dogtra 280c’s, would love one of those!.

    • Hi! Yes, the working spot allows you to bring an additional person – 2 humans, 1 dog!
If we are able to work with the e-collar we would have a small number of collars available for sale.

  4. Hi
I’m a vet nurse & part time Dog trainer in a small town & I am interested in learning more from Tom so I can help my clients & their relationship with their dogs. I want to try in my small way to reduce unnecessary euthanasias for treatable behavioural issues. Could I get some more information about your Australian workshops please?

    • Hi Karen! We would recommend attending our event as an audit. You will be able to observe the process as Tom works with dogs and their owners.
If you are familiar with our YouTube videos, the event allows you to watch the training process in real time as Tom breaks down behavior, obedience and the relationship between dog and owner.
Tom always allows for questions from audits as he’s working and there is a Q&&A portion as well. If there is any specific information we can provide about the format of the event, let us know!

  5. I really wanted to bring my American bulldog saber for the working dog event in Melbourne however due to my boy reactive behaviour the thought of it gives me anxiety alot of anxiety

    • Hi Rachel – we are able to work with highly reactive dogs. Dogs will work on crate and rotate basis so we will ensure there are no other dogs present until you are ready for that.
Audit spots will be present to watch, but they will not be able to interact with any of the dogs. Hope this helps!

  6. I am interested in assisting veterans and first responders in troubleshooting and training their own dogs. I am currently looking into formal training qualifications, but will say I have over 35 years of Handler experience and close to 25 years of Dog Club instructor roles.
I am wondering if this event will be of any benefit to me? I know all knowledge is important, I do have to be picky due to finances. FYI I am in Tasmania (Australia) and will need to source travel and accommodation on top of seminar fees

    Regards Klay

    • Hi Klay, if you are familiar with Tom’s YouTube channel it will be a more in-depth amount of information since you are seeing the entire training process. There will be a lot of information about behavior, relationship, handling, etc. You also have the added benefit of seeing Tom and Forrest Micke work. If your goal is to continue to learn as much as you can about dogs, we think the seminar is a great opportunity for this. Hope this helps!

  7. Hi, I just have a few questions and I want it to be cleared up please.
As I will be coming from a different state and travelling with my dog to this great opportunity to meet tom at the working spot (he is an inspiration ro me) does that include my dog going to the saturday and sunday, Seminar or just just me going to the seminar? Just would like to know so I know what do to the my dog during that time on the seminar days ?

    • Hi Noni! Yes, if you register for a working spot, this means you are able to bring your dog to train with Tom and Forrest on Saturday and Sunday. An audit spot would be for observation only (not bring your dog). Hope this helps!

  8. Hi team,

I have purchased a working spot and just wanted to clarify something. So on Friday I should come without my dog and only bring him saturday and sunday?

    Thank you!

  9. Could you please clarify for me if there is a ‘meet & greet’ on the Friday night for the Brisbane training clinic thanks Vicki

    • For working spots there will be a meet & greet on Friday evening and we will send out an email this week with details.
